0 Types of Jobs Available in US Market

There are mainly three types of jobs available and are popular in US Job Market. They are mentioned below

1. Contract

2. Contract to Hire

3. Permanent Or Direct Hire

1. Contract:
This is purely a contract. The consultant has to work at the client premises only for the agreed number of months. It might be one month, three months, six months or more. It all depends on the client. Contractor is  not entitled for benefits, Insurance, National Holidays, festivals, Salary hikes, Bonus etc at the client place. Only permanent employees can avail the said perks. The contract will get paid only for the number of hours he worked.

2. Contract to Hire:
This is also called as contract to perm or Temp to Hire. At the time of releasing the job description client will mention clearly that this job is a Contract to Hire for 6 months. The meaning of this is that the consultant who accepts the role after the client interview has to convert into full time employee with the client after the 6 months of contract period. In this case the candidate will not get any perks while in contract. However, after going perm with the client, he is entitled to get all the said perks.

3. Permanent or Direct Hire:
This is a position where client will hire you permanently. There wont be any contract or any other rules. If the client likes the candidate after the interview, he will be offered a job and all perks will be given from day one. In permanent role, the candidate will be paid the salary every month.
